Happy mother's day!

When trying to decide what to give my mother for Mother’s Day, I decided to make a homemade card instead. Of course, I couldn’t just do a card, I also decided to create packaging for chocolate bars because they are her favorite.

While the chocolate box die lines are not my making, I did hand draw and color the chocolates on the boxes. The color palette was chosen to both represent the chocolate flavors as well as because purple is my mother’s signature color. To make it slightly more personal and to label who it was for, I decided to have some of the chocolate pieces spell out “Mom”.

The following is what was written inside the card and on the inside of each chocolate box:

"Motherhood is like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to get. But you hope for the best."

White chocolate for...the moments of pure joy.

Milk chocolate for...the sweetest moments.

Dark chocolate for...the bittersweet times.

Hazel Nut chocolate for...those times when it got a little bit nutty.
