Something I find extremely satisfying as a designer is being able to physically pick up and touch something I made.
As a lead designer at Peachtree Playthings, I create product and packaging of licensed and non-licensed artwork for toys, crafts and stationery products. Many of the featured licensed products come from big named houses such as Disney, DreamWorks, Nickelodeon and Universal. When laying out artwork for product, I keep in mind the play style of the item as well as the story line and which characters are more popular.
Part of my responsibilities include setting up mechanical files for production, creating digital mockups for client and licensor to review, along with photographing final production items for retailers. Along with the whole design team, I have continued to develop new packaging rebrands for Peachtree's existing brand lines such as for Fashions You Color, Build & Play, Fashionably Me! and Woodshop.
